In a heartwarming display of community spirit and dedication to wellness, Sun Rehab and Great Heart Charity recently teamed up to organise a memorable charity event aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles among children of the Hiichiikok Foundation Home For Children Care.

The event saw over 20 enthusiastic volunteers from Sun Rehab, led by Mr. Nimal, alongside representatives from Great Heart Charity. They came together to escort the children from their home to the scenic Sri Bintang Hill.

The Sri Bintang Hill boasts a 1.4-mile loop trail that proved to be both exhilarating and challenging for the young participants. Despite the tough trek, which left them sweaty and battling mosquitoes, the children persevered with unwavering smiles.

At the end, the trail offered breathtaking views of lush greenery, rewarding their efforts with a panoramic vista that stretched as far as the eye could see. The sights and sounds of nature provided a soothing balm for their souls, amidst the chirping of birds and rustling of leaves.

This immersive experience in nature not only encouraged physical activity but also fostered a deep appreciation for the environment. As they departed Sri Bintang Hill, tired but elated, the children carried with them memories of a day filled with adventure, camaraderie, and the warmth of community support.

The event not only promoted teamwork and resilience but also underscored the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle from a young age. Following the invigorating hike, the children were treated to a well-deserved feast of banana leaf rice—a sumptuous meal that replenished their energy and brought joy to their faces.

The charity event served as a testament to what can be achieved when individuals and organisations come together with a shared goal of making a positive difference in young lives.

This fun-filled day is but one of the many enriching activities that the children indulge in on a weekly basis. For more information on the Hiichiikok Foundation, please go to: https://hiichiikokfoundation.com/
